Show & Tell November (Page 2)
Ellen has been visiting family in the US for a few months. She finished the following quilts whilst away – she has been busy.
The first 2 are for her grandson and are a pair of quilts for twin beds, called The Underground Railroad quilt. There is quite a bit of history to this design. I am still reading a book about this which I purchased in the US almost 2 years ago!
Both these quilts were hand-quilted
The next pictures are a double bed sized quilt, using a Disappearing Nine Patch design made with orginal 1940s fabrics. This quilt has been machine quilted
They are really lovely quilts Ellen.

Another Baby Quilt…
Thanks Kathy Q. for your hospitality this week. We had a great turnout and a few new faces which is wonderful
Kathy I. has finished a baby quilt for a boy. She was concerned at the amount of ‘girly’ florals in it, so has appliqued some cute, blue teddy bears. It looks gorgeous Kathy!
And to continue the theme of the Disappearing Nine Patches, here are the blocks I have made just put up randomly on my design wall

December Show & Tell
Two in One quilts – from Michele. I think are from Tops & Tails book – Aussie author to be confirmed
The quilts both use the same fabrics and are cut at the same time with two very different results – a great idea!
Next up some Christmas flavour, with Poinsettias from Christina
and some Christmas trees, still a work in progress
Maggie has finished an adorable baby quilt
and a close-up of little Sunbonnet Sam
and Michele has been super busy with an Eye Spy Disappearing Nine Patch
and lastly, the stunning Winter Wonderland from Christina, an amazing feat in hand applique
Well done everyone.
See you at our Christmas Party on the 15th!
