November 2011

Just some random photos from our get together this week....and to show we do sometimes do more than chat and eat!

Marianne's Frog Mini Quilt - great free motion quilting - you wouldn't believe she is a 'beginner'!!

and some of her Artist Trading Cards

Melissa has been working on these tiny blocks - about 3-4" square - for an online swap

The first one is "Frodo's Cottage"

and the second pic are the "Trojan Horses" complete with little flap which lifts up to reveal 2 tiny soldiers. The attention to detail is stunning - a real tail and mane - and we all wanted to be in the swap!

Kallie has finished her pinwheels top, which is going to be quilted for her friend's wedding shortly.

Elizabeth's block is made up of tiny hexagons and is part of a Block of the Month. There are a few of these BOMs in progress within the group - all a bit different and very exciting to see the progress.

Alison raided her stash for pink fabrics and put together this quilt using 2.5" strips for a new baby girl just born this week.

We all love new gadgets don't we? These are the latest cute and colourful clips just perfect for holding tiny hexagons together or stitching down your bindings
