Congratulations Melinda!

Back in November I posted a link to Living Creatively - an Aussie website for all things creative. Melinda's name is up there in lights this month, having had one of her designs for a Christmas ornament published. If you visit the website, go to "Projects", then the "Chrismtas" section and Melinda's design is the first one listed. Well done Melinda!

More Help Needed

We met at Elizabeth's today and there was even a sewing machine out and being used.
Lots of input into the baby quilt which Kathy's daughter is making for her music teacher.
We look forward to seeing it finished very soon.

We also need to get the roster happening again and would appreciate help.

We had a great gathering at Sue's today - I trust everyone has enjoyed their break and we look forward to some exciting patchwork and quilting projects this year.

Maggie was wearing an amazing pair of shoes today - we hope you will be kicking up your heels again soon.

Sue is starting work, so won't be doing the roster - please direct any queries or the many offers of help to Alison in future.

Jillian announced she is off to live in Canada - best of luck Jillian.

We had a small gathering today at Jillian’s with some show & tell:

Jillian purchased this stunning quilt on a holiday in South Africa. It has all sorts of embellishments on it and is a wonderful reminder of her time there.

Ellen has made this quilt from lovely batik fabrics – it looks beautiful.

Alison made this Christmas themed table runner from a pattern in Quilting Arts Holiday issue 2008.

This will be our last meeting for this year as many people are heading off home or on holiday. Have an enjoyable Christmas & New Year and a safe time everyone.

Christmas Lunch

We had a lovely day at Janice’s for our annual Christmas celebration. Unfortunately a lot of the photos were lost, but we have managed to uncover these:

The hat designing and making was fun – thanks Janice for organising this – some wonderful creations were made – sadly just a memory now.

We did however enjoy decorating some little gingerbread folk and hopefully the neighbours enjoyed our singing of some traditional Carols.
