Basting, Blocks and G&Ts

It was a great turnout today and we were a little squashed in the Amsterdam Room. Another new member joined us - welcome Donna. It is wonderful that expats continue to flock to Singapore and our Group has expanded - and not just from all the Dutch Croquettes and Pea Soups consumed.
Many hands pitched in to help baste Vicki's hexagon quilt for cancer charity. With all the beautiful pinks and yellows, it is looking very Springlike and fabulous.
Alison was a bit shocked at receiving these wonderful Star blocks for her birthday. The block is called "Another Star" from the Solstice Series of blocks at Fresh Lemons blog They are going to make a gorgeous quilt. Thanks Everyone. It was such a fun day; the Sumatra Squalls were at it again, meaning we couldn't possibly leave the building in such dreadful weather, so finished off with a G&T or two
...which immediately set the tongues wagging out in the kitchen! Oops.
